Breeding info: First calvers bred to low birthweight heifer breeding bulls. Three year olds bred to purebred Black Angus bulls and the heavily muscled of the three Red bulls we have . Mature cows bred to purbred Black Angus bulls

Approximate weight: mature cows 1450 lbs . Second calvers 1150-1275 lbs , First calvers 975-1150 lbs

Home raised? Mature cows are home raised, younger cows are 50% home raised, 50% bought as yearlings

Vaccination program: Usually vaccinate in early July , so at the buyers cost . Vista VP5 for IBR , BVD,& Vibrio . and Ultra Choice8 for Blackleg etc .in June 2024 for the 2nd Calvers . 1st calf heifers now 2 years old ; July 4th 2023 :Covexin plus for blackleg etc . and Bovelus naselgen for IBR,BVD etc. The winter of 2023/24 they were backgrounded in custom feedlot and received 4way and 8 way booster shots . The Mature cows were done with a 4 way and an 8 way every year except last year (2024) We have not had to use Ivermectin on anything .

Delivery date: July 10 as calved pairs with option leave them to be custom grazed to October 31, 2025

Feeding program: All presently on grass . Our bred heifers and cows are generally wintered on1) straw and chaff piles supplemented with grain or pellets .2)greenfeed 3) A combination of greenfeed or hay and baled straw supplemented with grain or pellets . This past winter the mature cows bale grazed Triticale greenfeed with no grain until late Feb . then went grazing carry over grass from last summer with minimal old greenfeed bales . None of these cattle were treated for internal or external parasites in the fall of 2024 or winter and we feel quite satisfied with the way they wintered .

Details: Our cattle are all trained very well to electric fence , Calves are born on grass . Cows are very quiet and easy to handle . Generally wean 450-550 lb calves by late October.

Owner is offering for sale now as pairs, and will calve the cows out and deliver 50 first calf pairs, 50 2nd calf pairs and 50 mature pairs for delivery July 10, 2025. The buyer has the opportunity to leave the cattle on site for custom grazing at $2/day including salt and mineral until October 31, 2025. The cattle will transact now for July 10 delivery date as guaranteed pairs, and any custom grazing will be arranged between the buyer and seller directly thereafter. Seller also provides the opportunity for creep feeding in the fall (feed not included). Offering 50 head of each group, but numbers may vary by a few head.
