Cows in Control Inc. is a full service cattle brokerage in operation since 2015. Ryan Copithorne is the president and a fourth generation rancher who has spent his entire lifetime in the cattle business building ranches and consulting.
Our vision is to help make ranching profitable and sustainable through top-tier cattle marketing. We leverage reliable ways of marketing breeding cattle that allows you to structure the right deal for the right price.
We strive to set up a reliable pricing market so you can control how to buy or sell breeding cattle for a fair, predictable price. No high pressure sales here!

Cows in Control Inc. is a licenced and bonded livestock dealer in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, BC and Alberta. If outside of our dealer regions, we can advertise your cattle but not deal or broker them.

Matt and Angela Kumlin
Matt and Angela are co-creators of the Buy/Sell Breeders program.
Matt was raised on the ranch west of Calgary, and later earned his BSc. in Agriculture from the U of S, followed by his DVM from the University of Calgary.
Angela was raised on a farm in west-central SK near Eston, and earned her BSc. in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan.
Matt and Angela are the owners/operators of Lazy J Cattle Company Ltd. and ranch in the Jumping Pound area near Cochrane, AB, where they are raising their three children (Wade, Bennett, and Rachel). They have a passion for regenerative and profitable ranching, breeding efficient and environmentally adapted cattle, and continuous learning.
